In this 3rd Episode of The Promenade With Me Podcast, we turn our attention to a topic that affects many young women today (myself included).
No matter where we turn, we’re told that our body is our currency. Our values, passions and dreams are no-where near as important.
Social media is there, on cue, 24/7. And with the likes of Instagram and Snapchat, tweens, teens and even millennials are constantly feeling its pressures, which in turn translates into their ‘offline’ lives.
In this episode, we chat about:
- The ongoing beauty battle consuming young women
- Social networking
- Alcohol and binge drinking
- Bullying and mental illness
- And what we can do: Whether you’re a parent, teacher or friend of a young person
PS. You can also listen to my podcast via iTunes and TuneIn. Did you know if you subscribe to my podcast, the higher up it appears on the iTunes charts? Yep, that’s right. The more people who do this (especially on iTunes), the easier it is for other newbies to find it. And by subscribing you’re essentially a VIP. How you say? Well in short you’re alerted when each new episode drops. Who wouldn’t want that!
